A Post Girl’s Creed

I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I believe in ghosts even though I don’t think they exist. I believe people are generally good and inherently evil. I believe crying helps sometimes but the headaches aren’t worth it. I believe good music can get annoying and bad music can make you dance. I believe dancing can make you happy and break your foot.

I believe in love and how much hate it can bring, sometimes. I believe that hard work gives and takes away. I believe that angels win all battles against demons even though I sometimes feel the war is lost in my mind. I believe peace doesn’t mean there’s no chaos. I’m peaceful and chaotic. I believe clean people can do you dirty and dirty people can have clean thoughts.

I believe cold weather keeps you warm and the heat of the sun can make your insides cold. I believe in waiting for as long as you need to not as long as you can. I believe that the more things remain the same the more they change. I believe forgiveness cannot exists apart from anger. I believe no one is more saved than another, we just recover differently from almost drowning.

People who eat too much are the hungriest, those known by many are the loneliest, pizza is overrated and ice cream is the good girl’s drug.

I also believe that paradoxes aren’t exactly conflicting, they’re revealing of how we can never know what the outcome of something will be, regardless of what the patterns are. They keep us humble, rooted, because truly, only God knows. And outcomes aren’t ever without explanations, however bizarre, however outlandish, however freakish or ridiculous, there’s a method to every madness.

  1. That’s a lot of belief 😁. Favourite one, ‘….paradoxes aren’t exactly conflicting, they’re revealing of how we can never know what the outcome of something will be.’
    I’ve enjoyed reading this one
